So much opportunity - want to help?

It’s two years now since I joined Tim at Now Then Energy and, in short, it’s gone better than I could have imagined.

Some people thought it was an odd move to leave the apparent security of my role in the leadership team of a long-established energy consultancy but I was confident.

I have long believed that, aside from effort and aptitude, one of the best routes to success is to align yourself with the right people. Not just colleagues but also clients and suppliers you respect, can learn from and enjoy working with. In consultancy, where the things we’re selling are largely within ourselves, if you want to work with someone, there’s a very good chance that other people will do too and success follows.

And it has. I joined Now Then Energy with certain requirements and expectations and a degree of ambition. The requirements – flexibility and family-friendliness, financials and type of work – were met immediately, and by the end of year 1, expectations were exceeded. Now, here we are at the end of year 2 needing to think seriously about our ambitions. There’s so much more we could be doing, so much opportunity, we just need one or two people to join us.
